BTS has been on a concert tour since last year, and they officially ended their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” stage by holding a grand performance at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. The finale took place last weekend, and needless to say, the venue was jampacked with thousands of cheering fans.
The grand concert tour finale
The group held a three-day concert to mark the end of the concert tour, and the tickets for all the dates were sold out. It was in August last year when BTS kick off the “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” tour, and they visited at least 23 cities around the U.S., Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. According to the Korea Herald, over two million fans watched the concert, signifying their massive popularity in and outside of South Korea.
In between the tour, BTS also appeared on various American TV shows, plus they were invited to prestigious music awards. They graced the Grammy Awards, the US Billboard Music Awards, and more. As if this is not enough, they also continuously topped the music charts, and their songs stay at the top for weeks, which even veteran singers rarely achieve.
BTS got emotional at the final concert
As reported by Teen Vogue, at the closing of the last night of the “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” tour, all of the members - RM, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, V, Jungkook and Suga got emotional when they delivered their farewell speeches. The group’s leader, RM, or Kim Nam Joon relayed a very warm and touching message to the fans, and he got really emotional, which made the ARMYs cry as well.
“I think I will be very sad not to be able to do this ‘Love Yourself: Speak Yourself’ tour in the future,” he told the audience. “This ‘Love Yourself, Speak Yourself’ concept ends here, but the journey to search how to love ourselves will continue. So let’s hold hands and spend time together so we can love ourselves even more.”
Meanwhile, photos of Jungkook being comforted by Jimin are circulating, and fans find it too cute. The youngest member of BTS can’t stop his tears, and although it was a heartrending sight, fans are happy because it proved that he and his hyungs truly appreciated the support of their fans. The members thanked the ARMYs for their success, for without them, they will not be able to get to where they are right now.
