‘Bad Moms’ star Mila Kunis recently attended the film’s New York City premiere flaunting her second baby bump. She revealed that the balancing act that mothers have to go through with regards to their career and parenting responsibilities made the hilarious film about motherhood relatable.
According to People, Kunis attended the film’s New York City premiere on July 18 sporting a shorter bob. Her growing baby bump was also showing under her dark navy jumpsuit. Kunis and her husband Ashton Kutcher are expecting their second child together, confirming the pregnancy last June.
The ‘That ‘70s Show’ co-stars already have a 20-month old daughter together named Wyatt Isabelle. Kunis plays one of the lead characters Amy Mitchell, an overworked, over-achieving, and ultimately exhausted mother hiding behind the façade of a perfect life. Amy realizes that she has had it and teams up with two equally stressed mothers on a mission to liberate themselves from all their parental responsibilities as well as taking down a clique of high-nosed perfect moms.
Joining Kunis in the new film are Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Christina Applegate, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Annie Mumolo among others. According to Business Standard, Kunis admitted that she enjoyed working in an ensemble cast. She said, "I said I would play any of these parts. I wanted to do something I could relate to. The idea of an ensemble also appealed to me. I didn't want to be isolated and I wanted to do something fun."
The 32-year old actress added, "Reading the script, you would think a woman wrote it, but talking to Jon and Scott, you realize it's an homage to their wives."
During an interview with InStyle, Kunis said that ‘Bad Moms’ was the first film project she tackled after giving birth to Wyatt Isabelle. She said, “I think doing a movie with so many strong women about being a mother was just incredibly serendipitous to me because of where I was in my life. I got to dip my toe in the water [of going back to work], and this could not have been a more beautiful group of women for me to dip my toe in the water with.”
She admitted that finding the balance between motherhood and a professional career was one of the most relatable ideas behind the film.
‘Bad Moms’ is an upcoming comedy film co-written and co-directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. Bill Block and Suzanne Todd are producing while Mark Kamine is executive producing. It is produced under STX Entertainment and Block Entertainment.
