Banco Santander Chile reported third-quarter net income attributable to owners of Ch$237 billion, or US$0.50 per American depositary receipt, down 38% from the prior quarter amid lower readjustment income, lower fee income and higher provisions.
For the first nine months of 2026, operating income totaled Ch$2,262.5 billion. Net interest and readjustment income was Ch$1,618.9 billion, while net fee and commission income reached Ch$426.8 billion, according to the bank’s filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The bank attributed the quarterly decline primarily to lower readjustment income amid lower inflation, alongside lower fee income and higher provisions. It said its results follow Chilean Bank GAAP, as defined by the Financial Markets Commission (FMC).
Banco Santander Chile scheduled a webcast on its third-quarter results for Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 9 a.m. ET (11 a.m. Chile time).
