At ¥505.28 trillion, Japanese government securities formed the largest asset line, ¥1.27 trillion above Oct. 20. The annex assigned the balance to Japanese government bonds and recorded zero Treasury discount bills.
Other entries included ¥68.42 trillion in loans, excluding those to the Deposit Insurance Corporation, and ¥36.93 trillion in beneficiary interests in index-linked exchange-traded funds held through a trust bank.
Current deposits were ¥418.46 trillion and banknotes were ¥114.18 trillion. The Oct. 31 and Oct. 20 releases do not explain what drove the changes in total assets or government securities.
