“Breaking Bad” fans went crazy following actor Aaron Paul’s appearance on “Ellen.” According to TV Guide, Paul, who made people sympathize to his meth-loving character Jesse Pinkman, might have accidentally slipped word that he would be a part of the show’s spin-off, “Better Call Saul.”
In the clip, host Ellen DeGeneres asked Paul if he would make a cameo on the Emmy-nominated show. He then said, "God, I hope so. Maybe I already shot it. We just -- or they just -- wrapped the [most recent] season."
Cinemablend said if one should measure Paul’s enthusiasm to be on board, the possibility of him making a cameo or take part in a story arc is high. Moreover, Paul has been known to play coy about his character entering Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman’s (Bob Odenkirk) life once again. In a Reddit AMA, Paul refused to comment on his possible appearance on “Better Call Saul” Season 2. Ultimately, Paul was nowhere to be found on Season 2.
However, Den of Geek said it was inevitable, given the fact that Paul’s character might be integral in the “Breaking Bad” world. A viral teaser promo already confirmed that “Breaking Bad”’s chicken restaurant entrepreneur and ruthless meth kingpin Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) is set to appear in Season 3.
But will an alive Walter White (Bryan Cranston) follow suit? Because “Better Call Saul” is a prequel, it is a possibility. Cranston himself has expressed interest, according to Slashfilm. However, a Cinemablend analysis said that possibility would only happen if Walter would go to Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill in order to file a lawsuit against Gray Matter, whose founders has cheated him out of his shares and eventually led him to become Heisenberg.
