StockEdge describes its White Marubozu scan as identifying bullish candles that close near the session high. StockCharts ChartSchool's strict definition calls for a candle to open at the day's low and finish at the high. By that definition, none of the five matched the pattern on Nov. 4. StockEdge's public explanation does not give numerical cutoffs for how close a candle must finish to the high. The Economic Times attributed the scan membership to StockEdge, and its report cited no company-specific catalyst for the gains.
EconoTimes previously covered NBCC's inclusion in a similar White Marubozu screen.
