Binance's perpetual-futures market recorded a $3.12 million liquidation of a Bitcoin (BTC) long on Oct. 24, an entry for one derivatives position rather than a spot-market trade.
The record dates the close to 10:15 a.m. ET (14:15 UTC) and gives $80,419 as the liquidation price. The $3.12 million is the value assigned to that position; the entry does not identify it as the trader's loss or Binance's total liquidation activity.
The entry records a forced reduction of Bitcoin futures exposure rather than a spot transaction; it does not establish whether the entire position was closed.
EconoTimes previously covered a separate Binance Bitcoin long liquidation valued at $10.33 million on Oct. 19.
