Binance has made its latest reserve proof available for customers to compare covered account balances with the assets backing them, following the exchange’s Oct. 29 hot-wallet compromise.
Binance said Friday, Nov. 6, that its latest zero-knowledge proof was ready. Customers can use it to review whether the reserves shown for their account balances meet the exchange’s 1:1 standard. For balances included in the snapshot, the reserve figure must be at least as large as the balance being checked. The check applies only to balances represented in the proof.
The update follows the hot-wallet compromise Binance disclosed on Oct. 29. EconoTimes previously covered Binance’s earlier reserve verification, which the exchange said was complete Nov. 2, after the first withdrawal phase returned 15 networks by Nov. 1.
