The two prices show a $2 increase over that 15-minute interval. At the later reading, ETH was up 0.07% over the previous hour.
CoinGecko and exchange spot data put Ether at $2,246.98, up 0.81% over 24 hours as of 13:25 UTC.
Binance displayed $9.92 million in bids and $6.55 million in asks, with Ether quoted at $2,240.80.
A cryptocurrency custody chief said a theft at Binance would push exchanges to separate trading from asset safekeeping, even without new legislation.
