Bitcoin crossed above $80,000 in a Binance spot-market reading Monday after sitting below the level 15 minutes earlier, placing the asset on opposite sides of the threshold in consecutive snapshots.
The later quote was $80,082 at 10:23 a.m. ET (14:23 UTC), compared with $79,725 at 10:08 a.m. ET (14:08 UTC). The difference between those readings was $357. Bitcoin is the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.
BTC's one-hour change was 0.02% at 10:23 a.m. ET. That percentage covers the hour ending at the later quote, while the $357 difference compares only the two snapshots 15 minutes apart.
The observation adds another price point around the $80,000 threshold after EconoTimes' Oct. 22 Binance spot report recorded Bitcoin at $82,055. The Oct. 22 article also described prices at two points 15 minutes apart and reported a separate one-hour change. Monday's figures follow the same format: a pair of spot quotes and an hourly performance measure.
