The 30-day spot-demand gauge had turned negative as exchange balances rose. Bitcoin (BTC) was $76,980, down 1.17% over 24 hours as of 10:59 UTC Nov. 3.

CoinGecko and exchange spot data showed the latest price and daily change. The gauge reflects outright spot purchases.

Spot trades continued through the decline, while futures selling kept pressure on Bitcoin. Futures trading is a separate derivatives activity, so it does not establish equivalent buying in spot markets. Liquidations among traders holding long positions added to market volatility.

A prior EconoTimes report on Bitcoin futures positioning cited Coinglass data showing that the share of top-trader accounts holding long positions fell while the share of futures positions that were long rose. Traders are monitoring whether spot demand improves against futures sales.
