Bitcoin trading plans have narrowed before the Federal Open Market Committee's meeting, with some accounts abandoning intended moves while a smaller set continues to build exposure and define exits.

Some participants have withdrawn plans to open, adjust or rebuild positions. A smaller cohort is increasing its Bitcoin exposure while setting profit and loss thresholds for positions it already holds. These are reports of plans and positioning, not a tally of completed purchases or sales.

The update follows earlier EconoTimes coverage of accounts considering full exits near $83,000. That coverage described intended exits rather than completed sales.

The FOMC's two-day meeting runs Oct. 27-28. At its Sept. 16 meeting, the committee lifted its federal funds rate target by a quarter point, setting a range of 3.75% to 4.00%. The Fed's statement said inflation remained elevated. The meeting is scheduled to conclude Wednesday, Oct. 28.
