A brief drop below $80,000 on Oct. 15 did not interrupt the run, which is measured at each daily close.

Bitcoin (BTC) has completed 33 successive daily closes above $80,000, keeping its monthlong run intact despite a brief drop below the threshold during trading on Oct. 15.

The tally uses the price at each daily close. Bitcoin can trade below $80,000 during a session without ending the streak if it finishes the day above that level.

CoinDesk market updates put Bitcoin at $79,950 at 9:54 a.m. ET on Oct. 15 and at $82,200 by 10:35 a.m. ET, as EconoTimes' earlier coverage of the price move reported. The recovery took 41 minutes, and the sequence of closes above $80,000 continued.

That intraday move illustrates the distinction behind the count: the streak describes daily finishes, not every price recorded between them. The tally will reach 34 if the next daily close is above $80,000. A close at or below that level would end the run.
