Bitcoin (BTC) rose $726 during one hour Thursday, alongside $10.1 million in forced position closures across Binance, Bybit and OKX, most of them from bearish bets.

The hour ended at 10:50 a.m. ET (14:50 UTC) Oct. 29, with BTC at $80,819, up from $80,093 at the start. The price gained 0.91% during the interval.

Liquidations across the three exchanges totaled $10.1 million. Short positions accounted for $9.55 million, compared with $560,000 in long liquidations, making the short-side amount about 17 times larger.

The total reflects liquidation activity on Binance, Bybit and OKX; it does not estimate activity across other exchanges. Shorts are bearish trades, while longs are bullish trades.

A separate EconoTimes report covered another hour, when BTC gained 0.16% and short liquidations totaled $12.82 million.
