CAMPBELL, Calif., April 12, 2018 -- Bitglass, the Next-Gen CASB company, and Cylance Inc., the company that continues to revolutionize the antivirus and endpoint protection industry with AI-powered prevention that blocks advanced cyber attacks including fileless attacks, malware, advanced persistent threats and zero-day attacks, today announced a comprehensive joint threat protection solution for cloud and mobile.
“As more data moves beyond the firewall, the future enterprise control points are cloud and endpoint,” said Bitglass CTO and co-founder Anurag Kahol. “This shift requires a zero-day approach to data & threat protection for any app and any device. Bitglass and Cylance are uniquely able to solve that challenge for the enterprise.”
The joint solution combines Cylance’s predictive endpoint protection with Bitglass’ cloud-based CASB platform to enable threat and data protection in the cloud and for unmanaged endpoints.
At upload, download and at-rest within cloud applications, Bitglass’ Zero-day Threat Protection powered by Cylance enables static analysis of files to instantly identify and block malware. This combined solution is the first of its kind and the only cloud threat protection that works across any cloud application and on any device.
The solution also synchronizes telemetry data between Cylance and Bitglass, providing device classification and security posture information for use in CASB policy decisions.
“Our application of artificial intelligence to cybersecurity has proven a prevention-first approach to security is possible,” said Rahul Kashyap, worldwide CTO, Cylance. “Cylance is thrilled to further our partnership with Bitglass to provide end-to-end protection from cloud to endpoint for the modern enterprise.”
CylancePROTECT® and the Bitglass Next-Gen CASB are available today. Telemetry data synchronization between Cylance and Bitglass is scheduled to ship in Q2 2018.
