‘Blue Bloods’ Season 10 Air Date, Spoilers, Characters: Tom Selleck Reveals Frank’s Romantic Future

While CBS hasn’t ordered “Blue Bloods” Season 10, it’s likely that the network will greenlight it in the coming months. Yes, the police procedural’s rating hasn’t been stellar in recent years but it still remains one of the most popular shows of CBS despite this fact, Business Times reported.

One of the main factors that make fans return again and again to watch the Reagan family is the bond that the characters have on the show. Unlike other series dealing with this genre, the characters being in serious peril isn’t usually used by the showrunners. Rather, it’s the disagreement and misunderstanding of the Reagans that truly makes the show shine. As such, this formula will be closely followed by “Blue Bloods” Season 10.

Apart from family drama, some fans are also hoping that showrunners will give Frank (Tom Selleck) his own romantic side plot. However, Selleck himself isn’t too keen to explore this narrative and said that “Blue Bloods” Season 10 will unlikely portray this story. One of the characters that have been linked with the Reagan patriarch is corporate counsel Kelly Peterson (Bebe Neuwirth). When asked about a possible romance between the two characters, Selleck has this to say.

“I love working with Bebe, but I don’t see their characters getting married. People are always saying Frank must be lonely, so when are we going to do a romantic story? It’s important he remains a man alone in overall concept because that’s part of the sacrifice he’s made. And how do you meet, fall in love and then have the relationship end in one episode?” Selleck told TVInsider. As for when fans can expect “Blue Bloods” Season 10, it should come out September barring any delays in production.

The previous installments have all come out during this time and there’s no indication that CBS is planning to change all of that. Hopefully, the network will provide significant information regarding “Blue Bloods” Season 10 as the current entry is hurtling towards its finale.
