The next major update for "Borderlands 3" is launching soon. To remind fans of this upcoming content, Gearbox has announced a special event where the studio officially reveals gameplay features included in the highly anticipated Director's Cut DLC.
Where to watch 'Borderlands 3' Director's Cut
Gearbox is hosting another The Borderlands Show, its ninth episode overall, where the "Borderlands 3" Director's Cut will be unveiled. The Directors Cut is part of the game's Season Pass 2 that launched last October. The virtual event where it is going to be announced is something fans should look forward to, as Gearbox has kept almost all details about the content update under wraps.
That is about to change during The Borderlands Show episode 9 on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 9 a.m. PT. The event will be streamed through the official "Borderlands" Twitch channel and will be hosted by Kinda Funny's Greg Miller and Fran Mirabella. Gearbox also promised to reveal more information about the upcoming story missions courtesy of Gearbox Story Group head Randy Varnell.
Next week's stream event is likely to feature an all-new trailer for the "Borderlands 3" Director's Cut. "You'll get to see additional missions, end-game content, behind-the-scenes extras, and more," Gearbox teased.
What content to expect on 'Borderlands 3' Director's Cut
"Borderlands 3" Director's Cut is the sixth overall post-launch content for the game and represents the second half of the Season Pass 2. It will follow the Designer's Cut, which was released last fall, that included a new game mode called Arms Race, described by developers as "the galaxy's premier reality murder show." Arms Race was accompanied by a new, snow-covered game setting called the Stormblind Complex.
The official release of "Borderlands 3" Director's Cut could also be announced on Wednesday. But as of now, all fans know is that the content update will go live sometime in spring.
Fans will have to purchase the Season Pass 2 to get the "Borderlands 3" Director's Cut when it launches. It is sold separately on all platforms and will also give players access to the Designer's Cut content as well as the four Multiverse Final Form Cosmetic Packs. But players who originally purchased the game's Ultimate Edition automatically have access to Season Pass 2.
