Briferendum Aftermath Series: Drums of a second referendum beat louder

Britain’s new female Prime Minister, Theresa May has made “Brexit means Brexit” as her new mantra and she has vowed to make it a huge success for the United Kingdom. Despite the desire to exit or at least expressed desire to the exit the drums of a second referendum has already started beating and its beats are just growing louder. As a matter of fact, it started beating within days after the referendum.

Days after the referendum in June, millions of people voiced their anger and frustrations by signatures in support of remaining in the bloc. Then it was Fabian Picardo, the chief minister of the Gibraltar, who openly called for a second referendum post-negotiations. This week, Owen Smith after announcing his bid to topple Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said that if he is elected as a leader he will be campaigning for a fresh second referendum when negotiations are done with. Now if Mr. Smith wins, it would increase the probability of a second referendum well above 70 percent.

In addition to Smith, Tim Farron, leader of the Liberal Democrats, said that his party will pledge in its election manifesto to derail Brexit.

Like we said before that we at FxWirePro believe that a second referendum is very much likely and at the end of the negotiation.
