Dallas, TX, July 13, 2017 -- Briggs Equipment US (Briggs Equipment), a Sammons Enterprises, Inc. company, announced it has acquired substantially all the assets of MacKinnon Equipment & Services (MacKinnon). The acquisition expands the presence of Briggs Equipment’s material handling business in Florida and Georgia. MacKinnon Equipment Services is operating as a DBA of Briggs Equipment with no changes to leadership or business approach. Alex MacKinnon continues to act as President of MacKinnon and oversees the business reporting to Chris Meinecke, President and Chief Operating Officer of Briggs Equipment.

Briggs Equipment has 29 branch locations across the US. The acquisition adds five branches to the company’s footprint including four locations in Florida and one in Georgia. Briggs Equipment and MacKinnon sell, rent, and service Hyster, Yale, JCB and other material handling and construction equipment brands for a diverse group of customers.
