A fire that The Moscow Times linked to an overnight Ukrainian drone attack prompted Ozon to reroute shipments and cancel deliveries from its Adygeysk center, which the outlet described as a major hub for southern Russia.
Ozon said Wednesday it sent incoming shipments to other warehouses across the region, canceled pending deliveries from the center and removed damaged goods from its online listings. The company said workers were evacuated and no one was hurt.
Marat Kumpilov, regional head of Adygea, said falling drone debris damaged a residential gas pipeline in another village. No injuries were reported there.
The Moscow Times reported that the Adygeysk site began operating in late 2023 and has more than 1,500 employees. It said attacks on warehouses belonging to Ozon and Wildberries have numbered in the dozens since summer. The outlet said online footage appeared to show the center burning after part of its roof collapsed.
EconoTimes previously covered a separate reported drone attack on an Ozon logistics center in Omsk on Oct. 24.
