Broadridge said its Distributed Ledger Repo (DLR) platform settled $7.6 trillion in repo volume in October 2026, a higher monthly total than September but with lower average daily activity.

The company reported $7.5 trillion in repo volume for September and an average daily volume of $359 billion. October’s monthly total was about 1.3% higher, while its daily average was about 3.9% lower, based on the rounded figures in the company’s announcements.

A repo involves selling securities and agreeing to buy them back later. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York says the arrangement is economically comparable to borrowing against securities.

Broadridge has linked DLR to the wider use of tokenized assets in financial markets. Horacio Barakat, the company’s Global Head of Digital Innovation, described the platform as laying the groundwork for the “next phase of tokenization.” He said institutions are moving from exploring early digital asset uses toward scaling them across their businesses.

Broadridge launched its DLX digital asset infrastructure platform on Sept. 9, 2026. The company describes DLX as a multi-asset offering that supports activity across an asset’s lifecycle, including trading, custody and governance, as well as issuance, settlement, servicing and distribution.

Barakat said Broadridge expects tokenized assets to become more integrated into routine financial market operations in 2027. He said the company aims to make those capabilities more accessible to financial institutions through DLR and DLX.
