City of Brussels, Belgium is under lock-down for third consecutive day, due to imminent terror threats. Friday, Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel, ordered a lock down, clsing schools, colleges, public gathering, music concerts and all sports activities. According to the minister, government has specific information that a Paris-style terror attack is imminent on the city.
While the city remains in lock-down, all police forces have been deployed along with military personnel to hunt down the jihadists in the city.
Some of the attackers in Paris were from Belgium and one of the suspect, Salah Abdeslam, still on the loose. He belonged from Molenbleek in Belgium. According to latest source he is back in Brussels, after November 13th attack in Paris. He has called in a friend to drop him home saying his car has broken down. His trail went cold in Laeken district of Northern Brussels. He might also be carrying his suicide belt.
Though he remain as the center of fear, authorities say several of the suspects might be around city to strike. If he is Brussels, somewhere, it is surely that there is a group of people hiding him.
Brussels is home of European parliament and well as headquarter of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization).
This three days of lockdown in a city, which can be called as new European capital, shows the increased cost of global terrorism.
