Bubblemaps says a purported Proxima contract tied to an allegation of $45,000 in monthly consulting fees was generated by artificial intelligence, challenging an X user's account of the arrangement.
jujudog69 said payments began in April 2025 and alleged that consulting included access to parameters in Bubblemaps' clustering algorithm. The account described its author as a former Bubblemaps employee.
The company said jujudog69 had no work history there and was marketing a rival product.
Bubblemaps said the contract used a false email for its chief executive. It added that its team relocated to the listed headquarters after the contract's stated April 2025 date, and that the address differed from its public legal registration records.
The company characterized the claims as competitor smears and called on industry participants to stay alert.
