Burger King Japan unveils its "new era double cheeseburger," the "Crown The One Pounder." Limited availability at select locations promises a unique, layered flavor experience for fast-food enthusiasts.
Weighing in at approximately 502 grams, the "Crown The One Pounder" packs a punch with a hefty 1,399 kilocalories of energy. What sets this burger apart is the layers of cheese between the beef patties and the buns, which are infused with a refreshing sour Gouda, a mild Egmont, and a slightly sweet mozzarella cheese before baking. The result is a delectable fusion of flavors that adds to the overall experience.
To balance out the richness of the cheese and beef, the "Crown The One Pounder" is complemented with pickles, fresh onions, and a generous slathering of ketchup and mustard, providing a delightful contrast of flavors.
The meticulously crafted layers of this burger, from top to bottom, include Crown Buns with four types of cheese, fresh onions, classic ketchup and mustard, pickles, six slices of strong cheddar cheese, and four flame-grilled 100-percent beef patties.
Due to the intricate handmade process of creating the "Crown Buns," the production of this burger is limited compared to regular buns. Consequently, each "Crown The One Pounder" will retail for 2,040 yen or 2,340 yen as part of a set that includes fries and a drink.
For ease of consumption, Burger King recommends requesting a "half cut" when ordering, wherein the burger is sliced in half, making it more manageable to hold and allowing for a more flavorful experience by accessing the juicy sauces at the center.
The availability of the "Crown The One Pounder" is limited, with only a select number of branches in Japan featuring this monstrous creation. It is worth noting that the popular Tokyo Racecourse branch will not be offering this limited-time delicacy. While devouring one "Crown The One Pounder" is an adventure on its own, attempting to conquer multiple at once could be daunting.
