Fresh signs of an improving U.S. job market caused the loonie to edge below three-month peaks against the greenback. Monthly growth from Canada showed the economy flat lined in February with a zero reading which was a bit better than forecasts of another mild reading in the red.
Part of the loonie's resilience has stemmed from the corrective move lower in the greenback. Consequently, any sign of improvement south of the border would leave the loonie vulnerable to surrounding gains.
