A CBS News video report described flooding in at least eight Florida counties, as National Weather Service measurements showed how much rain fell along the Space Coast.

National Weather Service (NWS) measurements cited in EconoTimes’ earlier account of flooding along Florida’s Space Coast put Monday rainfall between Melbourne and Fort Pierce at 5 to 15 inches.

Lissette Gonzalez, a CBS News Miami meteorologist, told the Miami Herald that storms could again affect South Florida Tuesday and that rain might be lighter than the day before. The CBS video title labels the rainfall a “1,000-year rain event.”
