Rebecca Wilson’s appointment gives Calibre One a New York partner with banking and consulting experience, as she takes on a post in Financial Services and shares leadership of Global Real Estate.
The firm announced the appointment Thursday, Oct. 15. Wilson will be based in New York and share leadership of Global Real Estate with Managing Partner David Schumer, Calibre One said.
Her client work spans several parts of finance and property. Calibre One’s profile describes searches for private credit and debt funds, retail banks and family offices, along with traditional private equity firms, privately held real estate owners and operators, REITs and property-focused private equity firms. The profile also says Wilson works on executive searches for international companies hiring leaders in the United States.
Calibre One’s profile lists prior senior banking roles at Lehman Brothers, HSBC, Citibank and First USA Bank/Bank One. She later founded a strategy consulting firm whose clients were in the United States, Canada and Australia. The profile says she moved into executive search in 2017.
Before joining Calibre One, Wilson worked at 20/20 Foresight Talent Solutions from 2018 as Managing Director and Regional President, the announcement says. A 2023 University of Virginia Darden School interview also identified her as a managing director at 20/20 Foresight, though it used the name “20/20 Foresight Executive Search.” The sources do not explain the difference in company names.
Calibre One’s profile says Wilson has an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree in English and Italian from State University of New York at Stony Brook. In the announcement, Wilson said, “I understand how important both the skill set and experience are, as well as the cultural fit.”
Calibre One says it was founded in 1999 and operates from London, San Francisco and New York. The announcement did not specify Wilson’s exact start date.
