Pluto Studio has announced that only 15.2 million out of "Catizen’s" 35.8 million players will be eligible for the CATI token airdrop. The drop is expected to occur on September 20, aligning with the token’s debut on The Open Network.
September 20 Marks CATI Token Debut
Next week, on September 20, "Catizen" will debut its CATI token on The Open Network. The airdrop is expected to occur at or around the same time. On Tuesday, Pluto Studio, the game's developer, announced which gamers would be receiving tokens.
It seems that less than half of the 35.8 million players who have attempted "Catizen" are currently passing the test, according to statistics collected in-game. According to Decrypt, Pluto revealed the number of players who had qualified for the "Silver League" as of Tuesday, and eligibility is contingent upon having earned enough vKitty money in-game to reach that level.
Silver League Requirements
The official "Catizen" Telegram group has been informed that out of the entire number of players, 15.2 million are qualified for the airdrop. The rest 20 million, as of the early afternoon post, are still in the Bronze League and cannot get any awards.
"Grab this last moment to join in Catizen!" the post declares. It seems like they are urging players to either start or try to improve their status.
The above image seems to display the total number of players who have progressed through each in-game league; for example, there are around 12.7 million players in the Silver League, the highest tier after Bronze. With over 2 million in the Gold League, 320,000 in Platinum, 76,000 in Diamond, and 108,000 in Master, the player progression is extensive.
10,505 Players in Royal League
Due to the low number of players that have advanced to the Royal League, only 10,505 will be eligible for the most delicious airdrops. Allocation specifics have not been disclosed by "Catizen."
"Catizen" is a little app for the messaging platform Telegram that plays like a matching puzzle but with cats instead of people. The goal is to find pairs of cats that are similar in a cat café. This will allow them to level up their cats, earn more in-game currency, and eventually get a piece of the on-chain CATI token.
Exchanges Prepare to Trade CATI
Major exchanges such as OKX, HashKey, and KuCoin are preparing to sell the "Catizen" token, and although the exact time of the airdrop is still unknown, the debut of the token has been confirmed for September 20. The pre-market trading for CATI has already begun on several markets.
