Singapore would become Chipotle’s second Asian market after Seoul, with its first restaurant targeted for the first quarter of 2027; Channel NewsAsia and The Straits Times report Jewel Changi Airport as the planned site.
CEO Scott Boatwright set the quarter on Chipotle’s Oct. 28 earnings call, saying, “We’ll expand to Singapore in Q1 with our partner, SPC.” The company’s Sept. 2 announcement had specified 2027 without setting a quarter.
Chipotle and SPC Group announced in September 2025 that they aimed to open their first restaurants in Singapore and South Korea in 2026. In its Sept. 2, 2026 announcement, Chipotle shifted Singapore to 2027, after its South Korean entry, and described South Korea as a reference market for regional expansion.
The company said it planned two more South Korean locations by the end of 2026. It named Sangmidang Holdings, formerly SPC Group, as its partner in South Korea and Singapore. Chipotle identified its Seoul restaurant as its first in Asia. A joint venture, S&C Restaurants Holdings, operates the South Korean business, according to Chipotle.
In September, Boatwright called Asia a growth opportunity for the company, citing demand for varied, convenient meals made with fresh ingredients.
Channel NewsAsia and The Straits Times reported Jewel Changi Airport as the Singapore location. Channel NewsAsia specified a Level 2 unit, #02-200; Chipotle’s public announcement did not name a Singapore site.
Both outlets reported customizable burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas and salads on the Singapore menu. Chipotle listed the same items for its Seoul restaurant but did not specify Singapore offerings or prices. The Straits Times reported that further opening and menu details would come closer to launch.
Chipotle reported more than 4,200 restaurants as of Sept. 30, 2026.
