Circle Internet Group, Inc. co-founder and CEO Jeremy Allaire outlined a project for its Arc blockchain network that would review disputed work done by AI agents and decide whether to release payment.

In an interview published Oct. 17, Allaire said the plan would put disputed cases before AI jurors or arbitrators, alongside human arbitrators. He also cited security and staking mechanisms.

A dispute could arise after a person or another AI agent hires an agent for a task, Allaire said. The proposed process would assess the contested work before a decision on payment. He did not present it as a service already available on Arc.

Circle launched Agent Stack in May. Its features include configurable permissions and spending limits for wallets, a marketplace for paid services, and support for small automated payments. USD Coin (USDC) is Circle’s dollar-backed stablecoin.

He also discussed credit markets that would let people and AI systems lend money or seek funding. He said combining AI with blockchain networks and fully reserved digital dollars could enable new credit instruments. He raised that as a possible use of the technology rather than announcing a Circle credit product. On the five-year question, he said he could not make a firm prediction about the financial system.

Circle and Proof also plan a USDC checkout demonstration for AI agents that would record a buyer’s signed approval before an agent pays. The companies plan to run the demonstration through Oct. 21.
