A Coinbase order-book snapshot showed nearby Bitcoin (BTC) sell orders ahead of bids by about $7.02 million, a wider gap than in an earlier reading.
The previous Coinbase spot-book reading put the sell-side lead at about $1.9 million. Both readings capture displayed orders at a point in time; they do not show how much Bitcoin changed hands between the snapshots.
In the latest reading, offers to buy, known as bids, were valued at roughly $23.25 million. Sell offers, or asks, came to about $30.27 million. Their difference was approximately 13.12% of the combined value of nearby bids and asks. The totals include orders close to the market price, rather than Coinbase’s entire order book.
At the $81,654 price level, asks covered about 68.44 BTC, valued at roughly $5.59 million. That level was about 0.38% above the approximately $81,344 midpoint. The figures describe posted orders, not completed trades.
