Coinbase’s spot Ether (ETH) order book carried about $1.83 million more value in posted buy orders than sell orders in a reported snapshot, reversing an earlier Coinbase spot imbalance.

The figures, reported Oct. 21, put Coinbase bids at $12.27 million and asks at $10.44 million with Ether quoted at $2,452.55. The gap is approximate because both totals were rounded.

Binance’s spot and perpetual Ether books also had more bid value than ask value in the reported snapshot. Each had less buy-side depth than Coinbase spot.

An earlier observation put Coinbase spot on the sell side, even as Binance perpetual displayed $62.74 million in bids against $52.07 million in asks. Ether was quoted at $2,511.42 in that reading.

The Oct. 17 Binance perpetual snapshot showed a different balance in that market: sell orders exceeded buy orders by $8.52 million. Each reading reflects orders posted at one point, not completed trades, and cannot show how much Ether changed hands between observations.
