Comviva and Aduna plan to demonstrate telecom-network checks for banks and fintech firms at Money20/20 USA, pitching mobile data as another input for identity verification and fraud screening.
In an Oct. 19 announcement, the companies identified phone-number verification and SIM-swap checks as applications they intend to show. Money20/20 USA runs from Oct. 18 to Oct. 21 in Las Vegas.
The companies said mobile-network information could help financial institutions assess customers and potential fraud. They also described possible uses in customer onboarding and Know Your Customer processes, through which firms verify customer identities. The announcement named no bank customer and gave no measured results for fraud prevention or onboarding.
Comviva and Aduna announced their partnership on Nov. 24, 2025, to expand business access to network APIs through Comviva’s NGAGE.ai platform and Aduna’s global operator consortium. Those software interfaces make selected telecom-network capabilities available to businesses. Comviva has said that offering such access could help operators earn revenue from their networks.
The earlier partnership addressed business use of network capabilities broadly. The Oct. 19 announcement focuses on applications for financial firms, which the companies say could gain additional information for identity and risk checks.
Aduna Global Chief Commercial Officer Peter Arbitter said standardized interfaces could make network information easier for financial firms to use across operators and markets. The companies also plan to explore applications for lending risk and payments intelligence, though they gave no schedule for those efforts.
Comviva said NGAGE serves more than 7,000 enterprises and has more than 40 deployments across industries. Those figures describe the broader platform; the announcement did not say how many financial institutions use the checks being presented at Money20/20 USA.
The companies plan to present the financial-services applications during the event, which ends Oct. 21.
