Comviva and Aduna plan to show banks how telecom-network data could aid identity and fraud checks at Money20/20 USA, part of their effort to sell operators’ network capabilities to businesses.
In an Oct. 19 announcement, the companies identified phone-number verification and SIM-swap detection as the checks they intend to demonstrate. They said financial firms could use such information when authenticating customers or bringing them through onboarding and know-your-customer processes, which involve verifying customer identities.
The announcement named no bank using the checks and provided no measured results for fraud prevention or onboarding. It also gave no pricing or deployment timetable for the financial-services applications.
The showcase builds on a partnership the companies announced in November 2025. That arrangement was intended to expand business access to network software interfaces, giving financial firms another source of information for risk checks while offering mobile operators a way to earn revenue from their networks.
Comviva’s NGAGE platform gives businesses access to communication and network interfaces, while Aduna brings capabilities from its mobile-operator ecosystem. Comviva says NGAGE serves more than 7,000 enterprises and processes more than 250 billion messages annually. Those figures describe the broader platform, rather than use of the checks being presented to financial firms.
Aduna Global Chief Commercial Officer Peter Arbitter said common standards could help financial firms use network checks across operators and markets. The companies also plan to explore applications for lending risk and payments intelligence, but gave no schedule for those efforts. Their Money20/20 USA showcase is set to take place before the event ends Oct. 21 in Las Vegas.
