FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 11, 2018 -- Avoya Travel®, one of the world’s most innovative travel brands, is thrilled to announce the promotion of Ashley Hunter to Vice President of Business Development. Hunter will take the lead strategic role in nurturing and growing supplier partnerships to continue generating record-breaking performance for Avoya and its preferred suppliers, exclusive competitive advantages for Independent Agencies in the Avoya Travel Network™, and the best vacation value for travelers.
Hunter’s new role as Vice President of Business Development will capitalize on her more than 11 years of leadership experience at Avoya and expand on her accomplishments in fostering close working relationships with preferred suppliers and the Independent Agencies in the Avoya Network.
“Ashley has long been one of Avoya Travel’s most talented leaders improving everything she touches, and we’re confident that her proven ability to deliver results as well as her extensive experience within the travel industry will make her a stand-out executive at Avoya and with our preferred suppliers,” said Jeff Anderson, Executive Vice President, Avoya Travel. “Avoya Travel is committed to the growth of its people and the Independent Agencies in the Avoya Travel Network, and we’re confident in the executive leadership we have in place to further innovate and grow the company and the Avoya Travel Network.”
Since joining Avoya in 2006, Hunter has been influential in expansion and innovation within many departments at Avoya, including channel marketing, events, public relations and corporate communications, and most recently business and sales development. With her diverse industry experience, Hunter is equipped with unique and well-rounded expertise in all aspects of the Avoya Shared Success™ model that will seamlessly generate positive results and relationships with key stakeholders.
Hunter’s promotion follows Avoya’s best-ever sales year and Avoya Network growth in 2017, and the company continues to break sales records in 2018. Contributing to this growth is Avoya’s increasing investment in its people, leadership, and the development of talent from within the company to continue the vision and innovation for the future of vacation planning.
Hunter holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Public Relations from California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo. Having caught the travel bug at an early age, Hunter was destined to build a career in travel and now shares her passion for the industry with a new generation of travel innovators and leaders. Still an avid traveler, Hunter currently resides in San Diego, California, with her husband and two daughters.
