Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals shares rose 3.95% on Wednesday after an 8.9% decline through Oct. 27, as quarterly revenue and operating earnings grew, though the close remained below its Oct. 16 level.
Shares closed at ₹204 on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data. The Oct. 28 advance followed a close of ₹196.25 on Oct. 27. From Oct. 16 through Oct. 27, shares fell 8.9% from ₹215.50; the latest close was still below that earlier level.
For the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026, the company reported consolidated revenue of ₹2,263 crore, up 18.2% year over year. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose 24.1% to ₹205 crore, and the EBITDA margin widened 40 basis points to 9%.
Reported profit after tax increased 65.1% to ₹125 crore. On the earnings call, management said that comparison was not strictly comparable because the year-earlier quarter included a ₹20 crore exceptional charge for restructuring the Baroda plant. Motilal Oswal’s adjusted calculation put profit at ₹120 crore, up about 38% year over year.
Crompton attributed EBITDA growth to pricing actions, cost efficiencies and operating leverage amid inflation. Managing Director and CEO Promeet Ghosh said on the earnings call that the company had passed on about 80% of cost increases through pricing. Electrical consumer durables revenue rose 19.2%, while lighting revenue increased 14.3%. The company’s results release also gives electrical consumer durables growth as 19.4% in Ghosh’s remarks, differing from the 19.2% figure in its segment discussion and table. Ghosh described the quarter as the company’s third consecutive quarter of double-digit growth across segments.
