The burns totaled 7,200,002 Cysic tokens (CYS) after a bridge compromise added 10 million CYS to BNB Smart Chain (BSC). Cysic said the burn brought BNB Smart Chain’s CYS supply into line with the amount set by its tokenomics model.

The incident occurred Oct. 17 and involved a bridge Cysic uses to move CYS between its mainnet and other networks. Before Cysic blacklisted the receiving address, 7.2 million of the minted tokens had been sold. About 2.8 million CYS remained frozen there.

An earlier update on the frozen balance and reserve burn set an end-of-October target for removing 7.2 million CYS from reserves. The completed burn meets that plan.
