At DTCC’s July 15 production event, BitGo Bank & Trust, National Association, supported the custody and settlement of tokenized Treasury and equity collateral used in institutional financing.

Transactions in U.S. Treasurys and equities took place at the July session, which drew participation from more than 30 firms. BitGo’s work involved Treasury and equity collateral in institutional repurchase and reverse-repurchase workflows; separate parts of the event featured collateral pledges and securities lending.

DTCC used the July event to create tokens representing securities held by The Depository Trust Company, using Canton and Hyperledger Besu, as EconoTimes reported in its earlier coverage. Canton is public, but visibility of transaction information can be restricted. Separately, DTCC’s Hyperledger Besu setup ran on a private network.

As of Oct. 21, DTCC’s target was October 2026 for its tokenization service to become available. Participant demand was expected to influence which securities qualified first; connections were expected to use Canton or Hyperledger Besu.
