The pullback in data-center shares on Thursday put the pace of AI infrastructure spending back in focus, as investors weigh expansion timelines alongside questions over how the buildout will be funded.
Among the securities cited were DLR, EQIX, SMCI, APLD, GDS and DTCR. Investors were reassessing how quickly AI-related infrastructure may expand while also weighing the cost of financing that growth.
On Oct. 15, Reuters put CoreWeave’s debt at about $50 billion and reported a yield near 15% on one of its bonds. Reuters said investors were considering whether future AI revenue would cover expansion costs, a concern also covered in EconoTimes’ earlier report on AI infrastructure financing.
