Deloitte Tax LLP and Sirion announced a U.S. alliance Thursday, Oct. 15, aimed at helping organizations track supplier obligations and contract performance across global supply chains.

Sirion’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform will be used alongside the transformation work of Deloitte’s Legal Business Services team. Deloitte describes CLM as covering contract work before and after signing, including creation, negotiation and analytics.

The alliance’s stated objective is to give legal, tax, finance and procurement teams, along with the wider enterprise, better visibility into commercial terms, supplier data and compliance duties. The companies describe those as goals; the announcement reports no completed deployments or measured outcomes.

They say contract information may also connect with procurement, finance and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. The release does not name customers or specific integrations, set a launch schedule or disclose financial terms.

Carin Giuliante, chair and CEO of Deloitte Tax LLP, said contract management has become a “strategic imperative” beyond legal teams, extending to tax, finance and procurement. Sirion CEO Ajay Agrawal said the effort may help companies use AI to track compliance and supplier performance while undertaking wider systems changes, including ERP projects.

The agreement extends a relationship Deloitte expanded in June 2024, when it said businesses in Africa would gain access to Sirion’s CLM technology. The latest announcement describes a U.S. alliance with aims spanning global supply chains, but does not specify where services will be available.

Mark Ross, who heads Deloitte Tax LLP’s U.S. Sirion alliance and leads growth and markets for its Legal Business Services team, said contract management is taking a larger role in business transformation. The announcement sets no start date for an initial deployment or other milestone.
