DENVER, Dec. 04, 2017 -- Dogfish Head Brewery and MicroStar Logistics began working together nearly two decades ago. As they celebrate another extension of their long-term collaboration, Dogfish founder Sam Calagione shares his thoughts on what makes the indie craft brewing scene so special and some of the secrets behind enduring partnerships in this newly released film series.

“Although he’s too modest to admit it, Sam has become an industry icon and we’ve been fortunate to have had front row seats and play a part in the craft beer revolution he helped ignite,” says MicroStar’s President and CEO, Michael Hranicka. “Over the years our companies have grown and evolved together in ways that mirror many of the themes throughout the craft brewing community... a shared passion for collaboration, quality and innovation.” Now that story has been told in only the way Sam can.
“There are many great stories in craft beer that never get told and with these videos I’m happy to share one of my favorites,” says Dogfish founder Sam Calagione. “Early on my wife, Mariah, and I recognized that, in order to grow Dogfish and do the things we wanted to do, we needed to entice other strong leaders and collaborators to join our journey who had superpowers that complemented our own limited superpowers. MicroStar has logistics superpowers. That’s why we view them like an extension of our operations and one of the reasons we’ve been able to focus on what we love and do best: brewing off-centered ales for off-centered people.”
