South Korean drone maker Doosan Mobility Innovation (DMI) has signed a preliminary deal with AIRON Corp. to provide hydrogen-propelled drones to developing countries for logistics and security maintenance.
Under the deal to push for official development assistance (ODA) projects with drones, DMI and AIRON, a local drone solution provider, would also train pilots and mechanics of hydrogen-fueled drones in such countries.
DMI is also developing firefighting robots.
In February, DMI and CITIC HIC Kaicheng Intelligence Equipment Co., a Chinese robot maker, agreed to jointly develop hydrogen fuel cell-powered firefighting robots.
