Fans have been asking for “Dr. Stone” season 2 as they are getting impatient already. It has been almost 10 months since this Science-themed anime has been renewed so everyone is looking forward to it soon and a piece of good news has arrived last week. New details for the second season of “Dr.Stone” are here and they should be checked to make the waiting time more bearable.
Confirmed second season’s cast and story synopsis
Some of the cast in the first season will not be seen in the upcoming installment of “Dr. Stone.” however, the favorites and major ones are staying. The voice actors who will return to reprise their roles are Yūsuke Kobayashi (Senku Ishigami), Gen Sato (Chrome), Kengo Kawanishi (Gen Asagiri), Yuichi Nakamura (Tsukasa), Manami Numakura (Kohaku), Kana Ichinose (Yuzuriha Ogawa) and Karin Takahashi as Suika.
For the plot summary, based on the latest trailer of “Dr. Stone” season 2, the “Stone Wars” arc will begin and as suggested in the title, there will be a battle. In the teaser, it was revealed that Tsukasa’s empire and Senku’s team will fight their final battle.
Moreover, the second installment will begin with an episode titled the “Kingdom of Science! All forces advance!” This clearly indicates that the war will be between the Science believers and those who hate it. They will also secure their own turf to avoid the invaders from gaining their space.
The next episodes of “Dr. Stone” will also show Tuskasa building his new empire while Senku also builds a new civilization based on his Scientific knowledge. Of course, Senku will be assisted by his loyal friends that include Gen and Chrome.
Release date
Finally, the release date for the second installment of “Dr. Stone” has been announced. This is only a release window date but it gives fans the excitement as they now know when it is coming.
The date was revealed by Crunchyroll during the recent Virtual Crunchyroll Expo. When it announced that the “Shenmue” anime is set to arrive in the platform, the streaming site also mentioned that “Dr. Stone” season 2 will be available starting January 2021, CBR reported.
