Drone strikes knocked out Managil’s power station Wednesday and hit nearby fuel facilities, disrupting electricity in Sudan’s Gezira state as attacks on infrastructure continued across army-held areas, local sources told Anadolu Agency.

Sudan Tribune also reported a blackout in Managil and nearby areas, citing local sources who described strikes on fuel distribution and storage sites. Anadolu said the Managil strike came amid a third day of attacks on electricity infrastructure in areas controlled by Sudan’s army. It reported incidents in Khartoum and Gezira states, as well as Sennar and Gedaref.

Anadolu cited witnesses who said a drone struck Omdurman’s Al-Markhiyat transformer station Tuesday and residents who reported power cuts across parts of Khartoum. EconoTimes previously covered the Omdurman strike and resulting outages.

On Monday, Sudan Electricity Holding Company accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of targeting five transformer stations with drones in Sennar, Gedaref, Gezira and White Nile states.
