Sudan’s North Kordofan government accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of drone attacks on fuel stations and service sites in Al-Rahad and Umm Rawaba, saying the strikes aimed to restrict access to basic services.

The state administration said the attacks were intended to intimidate residents. It called on the international community, human rights groups and humanitarian organizations to condemn the strikes and designate the RSF a terrorist organization.

The government gave no figures for deaths or injuries and no estimate of damage. It said the attacks took place Thursday and Friday.

The RSF is a paramilitary force. Disagreement over its integration into Sudan’s military preceded the fighting, which began in April 2023.
