The Economic Times’ liveblog recorded Grasim Industries shares lower early Oct. 22, but later readings differed from an automated tracker’s close, leaving the session’s reported price direction unresolved.
The liveblog put the shares at ₹2,850, down 1.36%, at 12:45 a.m. ET (04:45 UTC). It later showed ₹2,873.50, down 0.54%, at 5:35 a.m. ET (09:35 UTC), then listed ₹2,894.40 as the last-traded price in a 9:02 a.m. ET (13:02 UTC) summary. The summary did not identify that figure as the official close.
Swing Edge listed Grasim’s Oct. 22 close at ₹2,877, down 0.42%. The differing records do not confirm a single closing price or direction for the session.
Separately, Grasim said in an exchange filing that commercial production began Oct. 21 at its epichlorohydrin plant in Vilayat, Gujarat. The facility has installed capacity of 50,000 tonnes a year. Grasim described the start-up as part of its growth strategy and said it would bolster its downstream chlor-alkali derivatives business. The filing gave no projected revenue or earnings contribution and made no connection between the plant’s start-up and the share movement.
