JSW Steel rose 6.28% to ₹1,260 on Monday, Oct. 26, and was among five Nifty 500 stocks in a bullish StockEdge scan, according to The Economic Times.

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) session data put Acutaas Chemicals at ₹3,348.80, up 6.73%; Onesource Specialty Pharma at ₹1,397.30, up 4.74%; Laurus Labs at ₹2,058.90, up 4.51%; and GMR Airports at ₹89.88, up 4.05%. The Economic Times named those four companies alongside JSW Steel in a slideshow published Tuesday, Oct. 27. The listed prices and gains are for the Monday NSE session.

StockEdge describes its bullish scan as identifying sessions when buyers push prices higher and a stock closes near its high. The company says its scans update at the end of the trading day and recommends checking for additional confirmation alongside a candlestick pattern.

JSW Steel opened at ₹1,195.50 and fell to a low of ₹1,186.70 before reaching a high and close of ₹1,260. Zerodha Varsity’s textbook definition requires a White Marubozu candle to begin at the session low and finish at the high, although its guide notes that traders may accept small deviations. JSW Steel’s opening price was above its low, so the session did not satisfy that strict definition.
