Marico shares closed at ₹878.40, up 10%, on Nov. 3, while ETMarkets reported that the stock appeared in StockEdge’s White Marubozu scan.
Business Standard reported Marico closed at ₹878.40, up from the previous close of ₹798.55. National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) data show the stock opened at ₹832.55 and fell to ₹826.05 before closing.
The other companies on the slideshow cards were Britannia Industries, up 6.36% to ₹4,930; 360 ONE WAM, up 5.34% to ₹1,065; Billionbrains Garage Ventures, up 4.93% to ₹205.98; Tata Consumer Products, up 4.29% to ₹1,073; and One 97 Communications, up 4.24% to ₹1,720. NSE data support the first four moves; ETMarkets listed the One 97 Communications figure.
The slideshow gives three totals: seven stocks in its headline, five in its introduction and six across its cards. Those cards name Marico and the five other companies listed above.
ETMarkets’ description gives a strict candle test in which the stock opens at its session low and closes at its high, while also allowing a small lower shadow in a looser version. Marico’s low was below its open, so its session did not meet the strict test. StockEdge describes the pattern as a bullish designation associated with buying activity and a close near the day’s high. It says its candlestick scans use completed-session data and are updated daily.
Vivek Bajaj, author of StockEdge’s candlestick-scan explainer, advised readers: “Most importantly, avoid trading solely on a single candlestick pattern.” EconoTimes previously covered NBCC’s inclusion in a similar White Marubozu screen.
