Emcure Pharmaceuticals’ international business grew faster than its domestic operations in the September quarter, as consolidated profit rose 29.3% and revenue increased 24.3% year over year.
Profit after tax was Rs 325.07 crore for the three months ended Sept. 30, compared with Rs 251.37 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations reached Rs 2,820.47 crore, up from Rs 2,269.82 crore. The company said its board approved unaudited quarterly and half-year results on Nov. 3.
International revenue climbed 34.5% to Rs 1,665.2 crore. Domestic revenue advanced 12% to Rs 1,155.3 crore. International sales made up 59% of operating revenue, meaning the overseas business accounted for the larger share of quarterly sales.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased 30.9% to Rs 574.8 crore from Rs 439.1 crore. The EBITDA margin, which measures EBITDA as a share of revenue, widened to 20.4% from 19.3%. Emcure attributed the improvement to productivity gains and operating leverage.
Satish Mehta, Emcure’s chairman, managing director and CEO, said the company expects momentum to continue in the second half of fiscal 2027. “We expect business momentum to sustain into H2FY27,” Mehta said.
