Saregama India reported consolidated profit after tax of Rs 64.17 crore for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026, up 46.4% from a year earlier, while saying acquisition impacts make the results not comparable with the prior-year quarter.

The board approved the unaudited results on Nov. 4. Revenue from operations reached Rs 314.30 crore, compared with Rs 230.03 crore in the year-earlier quarter, according to the company’s exchange filing.

Music generated Rs 251.3 crore in revenue, a 35% increase. The company’s earnings release said live events brought in Rs 44.7 crore after growing 101%, attributing the increase to a higher number of events. Video revenue declined 16% to Rs 18.3 crore.

For the six months ended Sept. 30, Saregama reported total income of Rs 587.28 crore, up 27%. Revenue from operations for the same period was Rs 577.90 crore.

The company said acquisition impacts make its consolidated results not comparable with the year-earlier period. Its filing cited Pocket Aces Pictures’ acquisition of Finnet Media on Nov. 19, 2025, and Saregama’s acquisition of preference shares in Bhansali Productions on Jan. 30, 2026.

Saregama’s release describes its music business as spanning licensing, artiste management and retail. The company said it is pursuing multiple ways to monetize its intellectual property while maintaining financial discipline and investing for long-term growth. Vice Chairperson Avarna Jain pointed to the music business as a source of the quarter’s momentum.

BSR & Co. LLP issued a limited-review report on the unaudited results. The same board outcome approved the proposed voluntary liquidation of wholly owned Kolkata Metro Networks Limited, subject to shareholder approval and statutory and regulatory requirements. It also approved the closure or deregistration of wholly owned Saregama FZE in Dubai, subject to applicable approvals and formalities.
